I agree. DJI's batteries have electronics built into them so as long as they are not bloated, they are quite safe.For the record, these were not DJI batteries. They are not 100.00% immune, but the risk is extremely minimal, unless the battery or charger is defective, or the battery is clearly damaged.
I have a bunch of the standard type lipos for my fpv quads and they are treated quite differently. While my M2P batteries are stored with the drone in the flight case, my fpv lipos are stored in lipo safe bags and kept inside an old steel toolbox. I even use a lipo safe bag when transporting for flying.
I could store the M2P's batteries in the tray in the toolbox but I don't really worry about those.
