Lost another drone

Instead of enjoying your vacation, you're actually contacting an attorney about suing a company for not sending an email? And you have no record of the events? I hope you'll share what your internet attorney tells you about pursuing a case.
This isn't affecting my vacation at all. We goto the beach every day, and I fly 4 batteries and snorkel sometimes. I researched the legal stuff at night, when there's nothing to do anyway.

Got a new email from DJI today about this case:

Me to DJI. Where's the f****** price of the new drone? This experience has changed my opinion of DJI FOREVER!

DJI's reply today

Here's another email I just got from DJI. It was so small I had to make it bigger and take a screen shot.

I feel that's progress.

Here we live near the ocean in WA, a usually calm harbor, about a 1000' away, we are 50'asl hence have to look almost below the horizon while flying low over water, above or close to it, I try and maintain adequate relative height since the ground slopes towards the ocean.

While tracking my son-in-law surfing in Mission Beach area San Diego where we rented an airbnb, it was darn difficult to track him with my A3S in the surf, with other surfers in the water, I attempted to stay an average of 25' or more above the surf, yet below 75'-100' to avoid helicopter traffic alerts, which would make me scramble back towards the beach; other beaches saw negligible air traffic. Luckily no incidents or mishaps during our week long stay there which was a blast.
If you're talking about active track, I find that 95% worthless. It can't handle a guy on a surfboard. It usually says, unable to change subjects. Even if initially grabs him, it will probably lose him fairly fast.
I think they should have a setting, never go below a certain altitude. Then you could set that 10 feet above the highest wave, and even if you mistakenly push down on the left stick, it would never go below 10 feet. That doesn't seem like it would be that hard to do.

So when I lost the drone in April, a guy that was helping me look for it, said it would really of helped if I had a screen capture. So I told myself, in the future always do a screen capture. Did I do a screen capture yesterday? No. I guess I don't remember very good. I was looking straight down at the boggie boarder, rather than looking at the waves to see if I was at a safe altitude. Pretty stupid! Today I flew my mini for 2 and a half batteries. Then it started to sprinkle very lightly, so I stopped flying. Anyone know if the mini 3 pro is waterproof like the Mavic 3 pro? Thanks for all your kind comments?
I found out why I'm not getting any cashed video on my DJI RC. None of the cards I put in it get recognized. So there something wrong with my card socket. Maybe corrosion. But Fly never warns you that that's happening. If you go into settings, you can see sd card has N/A/N/A, but fly doesn't give a warning like it does for your main video recording. They should see you're set to cache, but there's no sd card, and give you a message. Specially considering all the stupid warning you constantly have to get rid of, like low signal strength.

Relying on AI legal advice is about as advisable as believing everything your hear from customer service reps who are working off scripts. Forget the lawsuit and go enjoy your vacation.
Nothing personal, but when there something I know absolutely nothing about, like this, I would believe AI 100% more than I would believe you.

@jwilson, you have yet to describe any legally actionable damages, in which case you could not get a court to entertain your claim, and won't find an attorney willing to take your case.

Failing to communicate when promised is not something that constitutes actionable damage under the law, unless you have an explicit contract for such an obligation.

Similar to someone farting in the booth next to you and ruining your dinner out... it may have offended you, but it doesn't make the cut for something you can sue over.

I am a big AI fan. But @MS Coast is giving you friendly human advice which can be nuch better. You seem to be very hard on drones btw but a man of adventure! I hope you have fun with no further problems.
