Just took the plunge and bought a 16GB 512GB machine to use with Davinci Resolve 20 (free version).
Ultra smooth with my Air 3S 10-bit Dlog-M H265 videos.
It replaced a 12 year old Windows machine with an i5 first gen intel chip. It just couldn’t handle H265
