Magnetic Interference

I'm one of them. Wouldn't hover anymore, so I purposely aimed for a tree before it decided to fly off out into the ocean. Tree kept it, though I did have to climb a tree to go get it.

I don't know if this is off topic, but it's MY post, so @xman1, EVERYTIME I do an update on my phone or drone, My first take off is in an area with lots of ceder trees (Nice and fluffy) and other overhanging trees that I hope will catch it if it flies away. Ha, paranoia about "Updates".

I haven't yet, was looking for a magnet and then....duh! Refrigerator! I just checked it as we are texting, And YES it is magnetic! A pretty strong pull too. I have been trying to figure for months why the Radar view and map was always of a little bit until it flew.

I use the 5 ft Hoodman landing pad which has a heavy metal ring. Having checked, it turns out that it is ferromagnetic but not magnetized (yet), so it does not cause any interference.
