Mav4 Ordered

I asked DJI for clarification on the repair issue when getting something from Korea or wherever...their response made be very glad I backed out of the Mav4 order. They said, "Thank you for waiting, yes, if you purchased from Korea then your device will have a warranty in Korea and you can send it to Korea to apply for warranty service, but for the US, because of the shortage of materials, the repair service is not available at the moment, but you can keep an eye on our official website and we will let you know there as soon as we have the latest news!" Previously they told me I could get repairs. No way to know why the discrepancy. Could be a few things but I'll stop wondering how I can get one ordered if I can't even hope to get it repaired.
It's long been their policy that repairs come from the country/region even before all this debacle. The drone are locked down but their cameras do have international warranties. Like you (I believe you mentioned this) once upon a time I had a State Farm policy years ago but one claim later they sent me packing and I haven't tried since. If I were in the market for M4P and I could get $100 St. Farm no-deductible policy, I would gladly forgo DJI US warranty and [expensive] Care. Any idea on the StF statute of limitations? Because I have a feeling one day, we all may need to rely on Korean M4Ps. :)

This echos what I was told as well almost to the letter. What I wonder though is if we can get it insured anyway through another company? Some companies will still work on them even if DJI does not.

Highest price of the day so far, M4P RC2 combo from S. Korea US$6,080. Mark this price, if DJI says there will be no US launch, expect these prices to break $10k. Avg creator combo price is $5499.

Wow. Until the present admin along with their huge tariff-fiasco, dji was gearing up for shipment of Mavic 4's to the US. I cannot see how you can even begin to think what you are thinking unless of course drugs and brainwashing were involved.
Oh so funny.the drugs and brainwashing were from the other piece of garbage that was in there, the tariffs have nothing to do with what is going on,go do your research about it.Border and customs issues. But that would matter not to you.

Without Trump there would be no tariffs and the Mavic 4 Pro would be on the US market today at the normal price everyone else in the world is paying. Full stop.

Right, it sounds more like grey market to me. I can only speak to my experience and they told me I would need to wait until it's "officially available in the United States" before I could get ay warranty service. Yes, if you dropped it on the ground in Denmark it is covered, also DJI Care Refresh is available as it normally is anywhere outside of the United States as I understand it. I didn't purchase it, a friend did and then I paid him for it after he returned home.

From the United States you cannot access anything to do with the Mavic 4 Pro drone on the official website, so you cannot purchase DJI Care Refresh at all, as well as anything else to do with this drone, ND filters, etc. any of it. The page throws up a 404 error unless you're using a proxy.

That said I have been using DJI for many years now and have never had better customer service when it comes to warranty and DJI Care Refresh, they've always been excellent in every way and gone above and beyond when it's come to my issues (and I've had a few) so I have a hard time knocking them. It's not their fault a wilted pumpkin of a madman is ruining this stuff for everyone, I feel bad for them.
This place has become Democrat
