I just updated my Mavic 2 Pro to the latest firmware, app updated to the latest update. I'm not seeing the RID number anywhere. I've tried looking in "about" and under my Wifi settings in various devices. I've also started the drone outside so it would be looking at 16+ satellites. I also opened and "refreshed" the firmware in DJI Assistant. Any ideas? Is there any guidance from DJI on the latest firmware for RID for Mavic 2 Pro? Thanks.

Thanks. I am getting a "takeoff permitted" but not getting anything about "remote ID functioning properly" or anything about "remote id".

Did you follow those instructions and tap "Takeoff permitted" to view the Preflight Checklist?

I don't see where anybody mentioned un-install and re-install the GO 4 App. That's what finally showed the Remote ID in the About screen for me...

While your actions regarding an “uninstall” followed by a “reinstall” are noted, in fact you may have reinstalled the latest version of DJI Go 4 while having uninstalled a prior version of the Go 4 app. While it is “possible” that your actions may be the reason that the RID appeared following your “reinstall,” it is “improbable” that this is the reason the RID showed up. Nevertheless, it’s working which is the most important point. You’re now compliant! Good job.

why is the triangle red? And can’t see this when flying?

I thought it was an issue and counterintuitive seeing a red triangle means stop to me however, apparently, they didnt code it to be green the firmware update was programed to be red.....I had the same question and when talking to DJI support they said its working properly. also there is another sub channel where others discussed this here:

So I'm evesdropping and stumped. Where would I see those instructions? I'm not getting rid numbers showing but I'm also not seeing anything about a preflight check etc.

Uhm, yeah! When I fire up the m2p it goes fight into flight mode with nomprpt for preflight or otherwise. I've looked, it's not there. I'd expect that would be a clear the screen before flight banner.

Those instructions are a bit overwhelming as they aren't formatted well. But, they do indeed work if you read and follow them very carefully.

Probably so but they don't exist on my controller. Perhaps it's a smart controller/dumb controller difference? Those instructions never pop up and cannot be found with my searching.
I'd like to know let's spell I need to use
to conjure them up.

Can you explain more on how your M2P goes right into flight mode before you even take off?

Per #8 in the link I shared, what happens when you tap the takeoff message that displays at the top of DJI Fly here?

Explain? I double tap the drone button in the drone starts, I double tap the smart controller power button, and the controller starts. As soon as it's booted up there's the DJI app opens, connects, and there's a connect butto

When I turn on the drone and the controller the first thing I see is mavic 2 and a button that says go. After clicking on the Go button I get the next screen that says go fly. P and after touching it go fly button I get the fly screen and all I have to do is pull back on the levers and it'll take off.

Perfect! Now, don't go as far to actually take off.

Once the top banner shows your drone is ready for takeoff, tap it to show the Preflight Checklist.
