Mavic 2 with Smart controller

When using the M2 with smart controller and intelligent flight modes the M2 does not reduce altitude as u walk down hill. So I’m guessing the Smart controller does not have a barometer. That’s a disadvantage over using a newish smart phone or iPad which do have a barometer. Any thoughts?

Phones have a barometer? News to me. Can’t imagine why they would need one.

All iPhones & same generation iPads have barometers after iPhone 6s. Highly recommended if u use Autoflight Autopilot & u need to fly accurate altitudes. Weird that DJI didn’t include one in the Smart controller.

Just google it, loads of discussions. I fly the Inspire 1 Pro and the barometer is important for use of apps like Autopilot. There are loads of Apps that use the barometer. Check the Apple Specs, here is the iPhone 6s, search for barometer, iPhone 6s - Technical Specifications
Same for the 7, 8, 10, X ipads 9.7 pros etc.
