Mavic Air 2s sideways

Hello Im a very new pilot ,i have a Air 2s which wont go sideways it did when i first bought it

I think it must something i set in the controller program,

There's a setting in the Fly app that disables sideways flight. As I recall, it's on the safety tab of the main menu.

You might want to have a look through the manual. It's available for download on DJI.com.

One of the most common causes of crashes, especially for new pilots, is flying sideways into an obstacle while making a video.

Do i need to have drone connected to controller ,to get the Settings App up
im trying with drone not connected at the moment

Quite a lot of the settings are stored in the drone, which means that the drone must be switched on for any changes to 'take'.
If you are fiddling with settings in the app without the drone being switched on then I recollect that any changes you attempt to make will instantly revert to the previous setting as soon as you 'release the button' etc.

I bought my Air 2S second hand with no instructions but i did get a good flight test it was flying over Skegness
being shown to someone else ,

i do have another question when i first flew it it was in flight mode one ND the left hand joy stick made it go up and right side made it go sideways
now it seems to have reversed how do i change the modes??

To change the stick mode
touch the 3 dot menu top RHS of screen
touch "control"
scroll down
touch "stick mode"
make your choice.

Hello, yes got the stick mode right

The different joystick modes are shown on page 35 of the manual.
The standard mode is Mode 2 and that's what almost everyone uses.

Not sure what you are saying here, but if you still have the problem you asked about in your first post, this explains the solution:

It might be helpful if you could explain in more detail what your problem is.
Looking at p35 in the manual, it isn't about linking the remote but it shows how you use the right stick (if you use Mode 2) for moving left & right, so I'm not sure how to respond to your post.
What is the issue you want help with?

Mine has not been doing sideways flight lately as well, need to go into settings. Thanks @MS Coast and stikflote for posting this
