Mavic mini, 6 weeks for now...third thing is important

I bought mavic mini, crushed it into tree, get new one..this is for now problems I encountered.
So, first mavic I stucked into tree, his propellers stop working. And he flop 10 meters. Resulting in breaking his front two legs.

Then I get second.
First of all I would recomended to all pilots, after turning on dron and remote,,,WAIT AND WAIT until drone finds all needed GPS signals, and sattelites, and then WAIT some more..Bcs even when you have comfirmation to lift off, he lifts and then starting searching sattelites and gps all oveeer again.,,it is reaaaaaly stresfull.
Second, I am disappointed by signal. In open space, out of city, signal is ok..but entering the city and trying to flight near any building is just dissapointing. Signal flops every second. Start driving dron, and suddenly signal flops and he starts to drive home..just..I dont know..both od mavic mini same result. The video is crashing. I dont know is about frequencie channels or what..I didnt get to that yet, I didnt touch anything around that. I order some signal booster from net, waiting them to arrive.


Third, IMPORTANT, some other day I wanted to drive in some park, mavic mini had to lift itself from grass. Starting dron(lifting off), then one of the propellers stop working, and seconds after he turn off all propellers. I noticed that one of the propellers brushed one of the grass straws. Mavic mini probably stopped all of the motors than just for precautions. I moved dron to clear area and start lift off again(I order online some drone landing pad,waiting to arrive).
AND THEN!!
He started propellers, and immediately lift off in air like usual. BUT, he started drifting away. I was completly paralised, trying to hold its position with joystick. He started accelerating away, I didnt know what to do. I just give up. He went 100 meters away, into darkness, I hope he will stay in some bush. After several seconds I noticed on screen of phone that he is still in air. He didnt flap or broke. He was good.
I guess that mavic mini still didnt started that one propeller with full speed, because of that grass problem. But if there was wall or someting,,it wouldnt finished good. I dont know how to prevent this, since he jumps in air immediately.


Just to keep that in mind...

Flash Grundelore that is the most ingenious and inventive creation I've seen on this forum to date. Something we all use and toss to the side with no apparent value. Superb ingenuity!!

For the 2nd point, did you try to put your phone in airplane mode? It changed a lot hhe quality and stability of connexion for me!

yes. Thank you for the advice. It has good logic with all signals. But I cant say that it helped or it didnt, maybe it helped a little..I am just dissapointed with connection, because genuily the connection breaks after 60m(195f).

Sorry. You had me in stitches laughing. I should not laugh. It's an expensive item to lose. I lost sight of my mini. Because the return to home altitude was set too high. Another thing to remember. I hope you find it ok. Dave

Great idea. I used cardboard from a shipping box but I have to weigh it down.

Now that is using your head. Why didn’t I think of that?

Instead of using my head, I use my hand to launch and recover. My mini has yet to touch the ground.

Is it better with a Margherita or Quattro stagioni ??

after I disable those some AUTO feature. Something auto downloading..something.. videos from drone to phone. The connection is waay better.
