Two questions Which Fake GPS app for android? And, will this affect the return to home?

I presume RTH will be locked to the GPS recorded on the AC, so shpuld still work?

Dont affect. when you put the mini on air without gps, assumed that you are inside. After 20 -30 seconds stationary, gps is working correctly and automatic set home "REAL" after that you can fly away the mini. RTH worked fine.

here is youtube channel with a mavic mini testings. They have CE and FCC version and they tested all variants with and without FCC hack with RF meter and then distance tests with all variants.

The hack was done by using an app called fake gps. Check out the youtube video in the first post.

I saw the mm teardown which showed a different 5gz transmitter for the FCC version which has an amp. How would the hack help if an actual hardware is the difference between the ce and FCC version?

With fcc hack you don't get full fcc power with CE version, it just adds some decibels power gain on 5.8 ghz with CE hardware and this is just enough for double CE range. However this power gain is still small amount compared to FCC power level.

But don't know how it is now with latest firmware if fcc hack still works or not anymore. One with RF meter could try this

At this time, Italians shown measurements on remote controller only.
Noone knows if the drone boosts his power too.
So, we can expect with FakeGPS, the drone keep his 25mw cause drived by his own GPS module, and fooled RC has 1000mw (?)

Living in Europa, I'm waiting for a new FCC model and l'll do measurements, if someone can't do it before.

I can confirm FCC works great here, at Spain (europe), flying 1.0.3 firmware and 1.0.6 DJI Fly app version. For me, FCC hack doubles my range from 500 to 1000 meters at urban environment.

I followed all the detailed steps as read into this thread, but faced a problem when exit DJI Fly before landing in order to preserve hack. I realized that forced exit from app causes flight log corruption. Flight path ends abruptly in mid-flight, end half of flight path is missing. Looking for alternatives I succeed landing drone in a normal way (using DJI Fly app) but turnin off Mavic Mini as soon as it touches down, before it can process the changing WIFI region command from controller.

Do you have a CE or FCC version mini?
IOS or android phone ?
Im assuming you are flying in 5.8 GHz ?
