Hi all....

Sorry that my first post is a question but I’m pretty gutted!

I’ve just come back from flying my drone which literally fell out the sky.

The controller suddenly for no reason said no signal and then I found it in pieces on the floor.

There was no obstacles in the way whatsoever and only a couple of hundred feet away and a hundred odd feet high.

Surely this must be some sort of fault with the DJI Mavic 2 software or hardware.

All updates were installed a few flights ago.

What can I do guys? This is an expensive, new but if kit that’s smashed in pieces through no fault of my own

Everything was set up correctly, I’m very cautious with it especially as it’s new

Can you take some pictures of the drone? As many as possible and post them up here.

Hope you can get warranty repair for it, sounds like the nighmare we all are afraid of, too. Sorry!

There is DEFINITELY a reason this unfortunate event happened to you. Your flightlogs are the crucial needed information. Please upload them so that the "black box gurus" can give you a correct diagnosis of exactly what happened.

Thanks for posting the pictures. Can you take pictures of all 4 props and the motors? Were all 4 props still screwed on and was the battery still in the drone when you found it? If the battery was in, was the drone turned on?

No the battery had come out, one of the props has broken off... They were all screwed in correctly

Pictures are nice but can show nothing more than opiniated guessumptions about what happened. @Thunderdrones can use these pics to help with a repair option but nothing will substitute for your flight logs. I'm sure you're hard at work retrieving them now. ;)

Gotta disagree with you on that one. Pictures and statements from the pilot can mean alot. If a prop flew off and it isnt on the drone when it crashed, if there are feathers on the drone, if the battery is far from the drone when it landed, that all matters.

If you had things set up properly when it lost signal it would have come home and landed safley
Obviously the reason for the lost signal message was that the Mavic no longer had power to provide signal or stay in the air.

Sure I will do shortly, should I somehow look at the flight log?
Go to DJI Flight Log Viewer - Phantom Help
Follow the instructions there to upload your flight record from your phone or tablet.
Come back and post a link to the report it provides.

How far apart were the Mavic and the battery?

Im trying to workout how to download them...
I was using the DJI GO 4 on an iPhone

Hmm. You're right. The pics in combination with flightlogs would certainly give you the best possible information to base a decision of what happened.

I stand corrected.
