Mavic Pro Battery Mod

Some testing today,
DJI bat 22mins.
1000mah 25mins.
1300mah 26mins
2200mah 28mins
3000mah 31mins.
The last battery, for me anyway seems the best, a good duration to be had without too much added weight.

Those sound about right to me.

I really like the dual 4,000mah Lihv's! I think it's a 40+ minute flight!

Dude you really have to give more info for it to be usable for others...
Like: 2x 3000mAh liHv (weight if possible), 31 mins, hover/average speed, wind info, battery remaining of main/ externals, mod type...

It's fair to say that the times are hovering only I would say?

Single 3000 for 31 mins? Dude that is jackpot. What is the brand/ weight of this item?

Edit: if you have 2 of those you HAVE to try it!

Waiting on 2 of these to arrive, I'm gonna try it with my Boosted Maxxuav antenna...wish me luck...

got the mav running, had to change the mainboard, that was exhausting for my bad eyes and blue collar fingers! thank you digdat for donating the parts[emoji41]!
just stripped a ThunderPower 4.5 down from 4S to 3S. gonna break the other one down now and do a hover test.

You're crazy. So what does taking a 4s to a 3s achieve? I'm not sure I follow the methodology your utilizing?

some flightcontrollers/aircrafts run on 4s batteries some on 3s. mavic is 3S.
my phantom externals are 4 cells so I have to remove 1 cell to make it a 3cell battery

I've only done one distance run on the TP4500, but conditions weren't ideal. 24,531m, 33Min, 296m max alt.

More interesting is this. 20 sec hover and then 830 sec of flat out climb. After landing, the main battery was a couple %. I then hovered for an extra 4 min until I got the critical landing message just to see how much was left in the 4500.

are you claiming 33 minutes with DJI main battery and only one thunder power 4.5

Yes, average speed just over 13m/s. Altitude is due to terrain, and was seeing 5-700rpm more heading upwind, so definitely can improve on that.
I did a quick test with both batteries together (3500 and 4500) and seeing ~7000rpm at 14m/s.

The 3s looks good! how'd the hover test go?

There are times when the additional flying time can make a difference.
Thanks for sharing your photos, and your results.
