A few times now I had the P mode maxing at 2-5 MPH forward+back but it could climb 6-7 MPH+.Switched to S mode goes 30+.Wind not a factor as it does same low speed with or against. What could be causing that?Battery at 50%+ each time.

When you say wind isn’t a factor it was still actually windy though I bet. Am I correct?

It was likely 8-12 MPH wind.I didn't think wind was a factor as it went the same low speed backwards+forwards+I flew into the wind+then turned it 180 degrees and flew with the wind.Battery voltage?Even at 50% +?

Battery voltage makes no difference to speed.
If there isn't enough voltage, the drone drops rather than slowing down.

Sounds like a good mystery but there must be an explanation.
This doesn't happen all the time?
How about some recorded flight data to see if it holds any clues?

Thanks.I'll work on that.Does not happen all the time.

Cant be that you accidentaly switched "beginner mode" on?
It limits the speed as well
