Members map, discrepancies in the counts between the degrees of zoom?

Taking the UK and The-Island-of-Ireland as examples, if I zoom to the level at which Lithuania and the city of Ottawa, Canada are the east & west boundaries of the map I see a total of 614 members in the Britain and 22 in the Island of Ireland. If I zoom in to the next level the totals become 615 and 47 respectively. If I zoom in again the totals become 652 and 51 respectively. If I zoom in again they become 611 to 618 and 51. The latter "611 to 618" is due to discrepancies in my counting and scrolling.

Is there a reason for this?

Thanks for the feedback. The members map is a free, 3-party addon to the forum software we utilize. It definitely has some challenges and not much developer support. So, not sure why it would so that. Sorry that I don't have better information.
