Crashed drone and broke right front arm. Replaced arm and Replaced Downward Vision System to Core Board Flexible Flat Cable, as I bent one of the pins when I re attached original cable to mother board. Now I am getting this error, however while drone is in flight if you put your hand under drone, the drone rises as if the sensor is working? Can the sensor work but still give this error? Will replacing the sensor fix the error code?
I also calibrated gimble and IMU normal, and firmware flash.

Thanks in advance,

Brad

That error is related to the FRONT vision sensor . you have:
A bad connection or
need a firmware flash or
Calibration issue or
Your forward sensor needs to be replaced.
as I bent one of the pins when I re attached to mother board
Most likely your problem lies here.

Thanks for the reply. I did replace the Downward Vision System to Core Board Flexible Flat Cable because of the bent pin. Are you saying its really not the downward sensor?

there is a chance if that is the problem there are specific instructions on the DJI site you can follow to calibrate USE THOSE.

Sorry Have you reinstalled the firmware?
Did you do a factory reset (in the Fly app >about>clear all Data> choose > the reset will begin.
If that doesnt do it. Open the Drone and Check carefully ALL of your cable connections.

Yes reinstalled the firmware. Factory reset done. Still getting error. Again replaced the downward vison sensor cable because of the issue with the original cable. When flying drone I can place my hand under the sensor and the drone will go higher as my hand goes higher so I believe the sensor is working. I have checked all downward vision cables and all good. What other cables should I check?

check them ALL if thats the only error you are getting You could have a bad sensor I have not seen the inside of a mini 4 was there any silicone on the connections that needed to be removed? did you replace it. Certainly acts like a loose connection I would look at everyone you can imagine you may have pulled on lol. I am not sure BUT if you replaced the sensor and did not get the new part matched, Maybe, BUT you would be getting a 30210 error ( hardware missmatch)
sounds as if the bottom sensor is fine. That error could be a front sensor Take your Drone out and check the sensors with you remote if one doesnt show red you will know.

Just replaced the sensor ribbon cable not the whole sensor. Yes there was glue on all cable attachments and I put hot glue on from which I removed. I am getting red signals when drone gets to close to things.

There is no way to calibrate the downward vision sensor for the mini 4 pro per the DJI website.
DJI has restrictions on their hardware
The flight controller searches the serial of the modules that were originally installed.
When you replace a module the flight controller won't recognize the internal hardware serial and all the replacing of the part is useless. Search for part in AliExpress and read yourself
All of the sellers write clearly - need to be calibrated, if you don't know how, don't buy

If you don't have a the internal DJI calibration software tool you can exchange everything it's not going to work

The flight controller searches the serial of the modules that were originally installed.
The flight controller does NOT search for anything. Who is telling you these things?
Most DJI owners are aware of serialization of parts, Have you just found this out? your explanation is not how it works.
The Drones Main board has a number, At start-up the board searches all of its "sub" parts for the same number...Thats it.
There is no such thing as a DJI internal calibration tool.

Show me one case of vision sensors replacement without involving DJI un public software tool that was successful.
Please I know all the YouTube videos of technicians who shows how they repair DJI drones. But they don't mention the most important info. If you replace a module for example gimbal or vision sensors you must bind them. Search for sensors in AliExpress read carefully what is written there.
This part needs calibrating if you don't know how don't buy. Every seller almost

All you have to do is install the part and find a service on the web to serialize the part for you. Its done everyday! People that repair DJI Drones don't exclusively use DJI. Why? They would have to send the Drone to them. A service will do it from your computer for 80 bucks. You are making too much of one step in the repair process. Edit: The repairs done to DJI Drones without DJI is just way too many to list here I would say Almost all. Calibrations are SIMPLE even if you have to break out PYTHON. Remember the OP is not getting a 30210 Error.... That would be present if the numbers didnt match.
The DJI rep you are texting with is filling you with ignorant jibberish.
I have been a DJI owner for Many years with Multiple Models and I have NEVER heard that an app cannot be used because of a Hardware missmatch. The app cant be used because of the error (and can be corrected, Without DJI!) ..... After the fix use the app with your new sensor all you want!
Find a knowledgeable DJI spokesperson NOT a service operator, They know nothing.
The "Special Firmware Tool" the rep is referring too is called RepairTool, and ALL it does is encode chips with a prefix number. Its proprietary to DJI and they and only a handfull of Repair centers have access to it.
The online services use "clones" of RepairTool. and they can Do the same exact thing DJI does as long as you give the service remote access to your computer.
