Granted, not a speedy FPV flight, but flying the Mavic Pro 2 from the M/V Sharpie through an arch. All sensors turned off. Hand launch, hand catch with help from crew. This was on a Sea Shepherd Conservation Society campaign.

Where did you station yourself and fly from?... very smooth through the arch.

Agreed. It's at one of the Revillagigedo Islands in the Pacific offshore from Mexico.

Very nice!

Is the M/V Sharpie putting a decommisioned USCG cutter to good use?

Good eye! Sea Shepherd has 3 active former Coast Guard Cutters, The M/V Sharpie, M/V Farley Mowat, and the M/V John Paul Dejoria. I've been lucky enough to crew as drone operator on all three. They may be old, but they are perfect for the job, even if the engineers have their challenges with these older ships. The Sharpie is used for hurricane relief in the Bahamas, Endangered porpoise and science campaigns in Mexico. The Farely Mowat is also on duty on Operation Milagro (anti-poaching) in Mexico. and the John Paul Dejoria (JPD) has been doing Bahama hurricane relief. You can easily find these campaign videos on youtube.

On the foredeck. Unless we're moving I most often launch and and from the foredeck, unless the deck crew is busy with pulling illegal nets. It's the location with the least magnetic interference and the most room.
