Hi guys,

I used to know this but have forgotten, I know I have been told to use a particular format with apple devices but cant remember, 'lil help?

(Should RE Goggles be set the same for DVR since they are not an Apple device?)

Ta, Skymax.

.mov for apple.

Ah thank you.

I thought this but when I came home from my first distance flight today the Mavic SD had MP4 files on it?

Then I 'membered I had upgraded from an iphone to an AIR2 and prolly 4got to set that..
much oblige.

i used the tablet and gave my RE Goggs to my mate so we were both flying along the beach together in the same drone, it was huge fun!

so, actually it doesnt matter. iDevice will read MP4 and MOV the same, theres no difference in the containerization. However, there might be some vested reason to use MP4. If you use SLR's, or GoPros videos mixed in with your drone footage, you might be better off sticking with MP4, since flipping formats in the middle of an edit can cause audio/video sync issues, or audio detach issues. even though I am an exclusive Mac/Final Cut user, I use MP4 since I can a Canon 80D, Panasonic VX981, and several GoPro's, and they all use MP4 only.
just something to think about.

I edit either on a Windows PC or an iPad Pro and shoot MP4 exclusively with no problem.
