My controller keeps disconnecting on my mavic2 zoom HELP

my mavic2 zoom keeps disconnecting from the drone ?
any thoughts, I thought it was because I did not load the last update. then I loaded the Current update and it still gives me the message controller disconnected. one time it returned to home. the last time it came to home and hovering at 6ft and I grabbed it while it was flying.
I am afraid to fly it anymore until I know why this keeps happening

It was very scary it happened 3 times in a row
The last time it reconnect while it was 6ft off the ground and the controller thought the drone was on the ground and not hovering
It was allowing me to take off ??? Even though it was flying ????

Updates aren’t a cure all. Be careful in that respect just from the point of view that some updates can be crippling.
But back to your disconnect, try a different cable? More info may help get it solved.

Hi,
I was having disconnect issues and the small cable that connects the smartphone to the controller ended up being the culprit. Try that first as it is only a couple bucks.... Good luck!

I will start using the USB port instead of the mini port on the side
