ND and Gimbal

Tried ND filter on mini 3 and gimbal trouble

1. Gimbal needs frequent calibration
2. Gimbal gave overloaded error multiple times when trying to do sphere pano
3. Horizon is no longer level when turning left or right as if fpv mode was on but it is turned off.

Is gimbal damaged?

Did you install the ND filters while the drone was turned on?

Possibly, not sure, since it is having issues.

Checked that fpv mode is off.

Is Gimbal so easy to damage?

Have gotten some gimbal overloaded messages when doing sphere pano with ND.

I would take the ND off, put back on the standard cover and try using the gimbal again. If you're still getting errors and overload messages, try recalibrating the gimbal. If you're still getting those messages even after doing that, I think it's time to send it over to dji for repair.
