New Mavic Air 2 Owner

Hi all. I'm in southeast Texas.
Been a member of the Phantom forum for 7-8 years until last spring when a house fire destroyed everything including my Phantom 4 Pro + kit.
I've ordered the Mavic Air 2 combo kit. Should be here next weekend.
I've not flown a drone since August 2020 due to a bad case of shingles that affected my entire right arm and hand. The results made it hard for me to use my right hand for any "fine" movements.
Anyways, anticipating getting back in the air with my Air 2

Glad your recovering .I had that same crap on my forehead that managed to work its way to my right eye lid.
Double vision and light sensitive in right eye for a month.I also fly an air 2.
Air 2 is still a great drone.I do not wish a case of the shingles on anyone it's horrible to go through.

Shingles=bad, Air 2=good. You'll enjoy the Air 2, it is a solid bird.

Glad to have you on board rexster1505. I have the M3 combo, but I had to also buy the MA2 combo as I could not run the apps Maven & Dronelink on the M3. The risk I took. For me the drone is only ½ the story, the other ½ is what I want to do with it. It is a nightmare finding a cost effective software solution, but I settled on the above. Let me know if you need any advice on the subject.

A great drone both for controls and stability and photography. You should get hours of pleasure from it and some memorable still frames and video. Good luck with the shingles. I treated a very bad case with my Mum when she was in her late 70’s. Terrible pain on the skin’s nerve endings. I used an aspirin wash with cotton wool swabs and calamine lotion and paracetamol. Probably 2 years to heal away so as not tender to touch. Best wishes from New Zealand - and take care with the covid, too!

I really like the Mavic Air 2! I have flown it in 38 mph gusts, for work and it held it's own. It is a fun and forgiving practice drone as well. My go to...

Charge the batteries the first time one at a time, not all 3 at once. Read the manual and watch distance. My advice to any new MA2 owner.
