If DJI used a normal micro USB port with the sloping sides as used in every other device it would not have been a problem at all, looks to me like its a deliberate ploy to make money on replacement controllers, I have never came across another device that has a straight sided oblong port like the one on the controller & never had one brake.

Or use a reversible Micro USB cable -- like this one:

I tried that type and it did not work out. It was short lived then the standard USB Connector got worn out quick. It became loose to the point of breaking connection. BUT, Keep this in mind. It might of been the quality of the cable. MAYBE, A better cable might make all the difference and it would , make and keep a positive connection much longer than the one I bought.
