Hi, I am William and I just got my first drone, an Air 2S. I'm anxious to get her up in the air. It's been 30 years since I've flown any type of RC plane. I love photography so I am looking forward to adding a new dimension to my images. The springtime winds are blowing here in Central Washington State. I think finding a calmer spot to avoid breaking my new drone is a good idea.

Hello and welcome. I grew up in Wenatchee. Currently live in Eastern WA. I go to Wenatchee about once a month to see my father. I always bring my drone. (Mav 2 pro). Maybe we could meet up sometime. This forum is extremely helpful. There are great people here that can help out with almost any question. Congrats on your new/renewed hobby.

Take care

Here are some things to help you get started with your Air 2S:
  • The current Air 2S manual can be downloaded here (it doesn't come in the box). Other important documents can be found on the Air 2S downloads page.

  • Check out this getting started guide for some tips not found in the Air 2S manual.

  • This video covers all the basics of the Air 2S.

  • Your drone batteries will last longer if you use and maintain them like this.

  • Practice flying outdoors in a wide open location that's free of all obstacles. Don't attempt to fly inside your house or in other confined locations.

  • The drone records flight data each time you fly. You can decrypt and view those flight logs with these tools.

  • Check out MavicHelp.com for commonly used accessories you might need.
