please help with dji assistant

hi all
im having issues with connecting dji assistant to my mp
it cant be the program,cables or driver because my rc connects every time but my mavic will not.
what am i missing?

Are you using the latest version of DJI Assistant?

yes i am,i would think with it working the rc then the ac should work also unless ac firmware is an issue

It wouldn't make any difference as it would just ask you to update the firmware. I have found that just unplugging the usb cable from my PC then reconnecting it sometimes helps.

ive done that so many times in various order i concerned im wearing the usb port out,
the rc when connected pops right up almost instantly

this is really weird
my rc connects,not the ac
my friends mp rc nor ac will connect
this is after numerous tries on each one
