Problem unlocking a Blue authorisation zone

I have had a problem unlocking a Blue authorisation zone close to a regional airport after gaining a flight plan clearance from the ATC tower. I am an recreational pilot flying a Mavic 2 Pro with a smart controller. The first day the system texted me an unlock code to my phone which I entered into the smart controller. However, initially I could not get the virtual keyboard off the screen so was unable to tick the approve button hidden underneath. After fiddling with my finger on the screen for a while it disappeared and I could click the approve button. The flight subsequently proceeded well. However, the second day it did not seem to require sending me a text code. Instead it told me the unlock was successful but would not let me take off. Then I kept going round the same procedure until I gave up without being able to launch. Anyone help explain what I am doing wrong or why this is happening to me? Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Based on your screen shots, the "Cannot take off" message is due to the FC requesting a compass calibration rather than anything related to geo zones. Either calibrate the compass or execute a motor start CSC with the sticks, which will override the error.

Did you move the aircraft 25 miles or more from last time it was flown? May be the reason for the compass calibration error. I get everytime I change physical location distance more than 25 miles or more.

Nothing wrong with compass just a issue DJI implemented with at least some of the MP2 drones.

Agreed, I see a compass calibration error. With that, you can’t perform normal take off. Again, trying your calibration first, as suggested, then unlock. Make sure you have a spare battery or two. Lol.

sorry for the unrelated question, I just got my smart controller and as of now the inflight map is not showing any of the color coded authorization zones that I know should be there ( I saw it on your pictures so no I know it should be ther on the SC??) is there anything in particular I need to do or enable?
I was connected to the internet via home wifi, connected to the drone but obviously not flying. latest softwae update installed. any ideas?

Yes, when selecting nfz map in DJI app, you’ll see a check area to add other zones. (Top left or right I think) Do this, and they will show up. Does not do it on its own.
