DJI does not cover losses with DJI Care Refresh (if that's what you mean). You'd need to buy some type of 3rd party insurance like State Farm. If State Farm is an option, you can find some commonly used agents in this list.

And State Farm isn't the only game in town either. Other insurance carriers like CSAA, Erie, Farmers, and USAA also have policies that offer some type of coverage for hobbyists. You'll need to check with the insurance agents for the full details.

As far as I know, USAA does not offer the same product that State Farm does.
Bingo. That's why I recommended contacting the agents to see what each company is willing to cover. No insurance company and/or insurance policy is exactly the same.

They don't represent nothing to the drone community. They only represent RC airplanes and helicopters. They appear like they care about the drone community but the reality it's that they didn't protect us when Trump repealed section 336. They didn't because at the end of the day, it will benefit economically to AMA than keeping alive 336. It was all in benefit of AMA for drone pilots to waste more money.

i am a member of ama. so if i lose control of my drone and it crashes thru the windshield of a car driving down the street causing $5,000 in damage to the car and $10,000 damage to a street sign and a fence and the passenger is injured with $75,000 in medical bills, will ama pay?

i also have the standard state farm $60/yr, will they pay $1,000 to replace my drone?

Did you read their policy? did you buy it with out knowing what it will cover?

I have both AMA membership and State Farm personal property insurance. For $60/yr it covers my drone for complete loss with zero deductible for what I paid on the receipt I gave them. They photo'd my drone, S/N, controller, accessories and carry case. AMA is basically accidental liability insurance but it is required if you fly at an AMA Club RC field. Like this one which I'm a member of... GAMA - Home

I received one claim through USAA when my Phantom2 Vision + went into the ocean. When I made the claim, they deposited 1800 for a Phantom3 seeing it was the newst drone out....When I called USAA which I have for auto and my homeowners insurance, the claim process literally took 2 minutes and funds were deposited the next day. However two weeks later they sent me a letter stating they would no longer offer any insurance for anything Drone related, not the camera nothing...Makes no sense to me, I had them for 10 years before I filed that claim for my lost Phantom 2 Vision+. My drone was insured for over a year before I filed the claim... I will say every agent is different, however I called 5 different agents attempting to get my Mavic covered and each time I was told it was company policy to NOT cover any drones. LAME! Others might get lucky though, at least try!
