Purchasing a MA2 Pro?

Hasselblad have nothing to do with the M2P camera apart from the name being used for branding which is also common with Leica, Zeiss etc. since Hasselblad are a medium format specialist and have nothing to do with such a comparatively small sensor and lens. This type of branding clearly works well though because I frequently see people praising the M2P not for its Sony 1in sensor but because it's Hasselblad branded.

I haven't had the issues you have had with the M2P but its image quality is noticeably worse than my other 1in devices (RX100mk4/RX10mk2) never mind the larger sensor devices however that's an understandable price to pay for the small size of the M2P and I find the output is far better than the 1/2.3in drones. Those files I found just have no latitude in the raw files especially with the narrow dynamic range and a lot of noise straight off, I find the M2P is a lot better in that regard and I find it a lot more enjoyable to take photos with because there's a lot more I can do with the photos in processing unlike the smaller sensors. Yes I'd like better IQ but also the small size of the drone is crucial since I carry the drone when walking and cycling so a bigger one with better IQ is no use to me. I am surprised to read your criticisms of the M2P sensor over a 1/2.4in sensor since the latter is significantly worse in those regards, even at base iso the noise is poor and it quickly gets worse when you try do any work with the files.

Hi, thanks for your comment, Its interesting to see what I wrote and how it is interpreted.
I agree with you, BTW.

But I was trying to say the smaller sensor was not as good as the bigger one, but the bigger one is not as good as DJI make it out to be.

Having had various Hasselblads, past to present I am very familiar with them and also tried to infer that they are only a name (Brand) now and not an actual camera manufacturer. I also realise that its only a name on the DJI. I think that is what I was trying to say.

Never the less, I have not has much luck with DJI and from my experience I don't think I will be trying them again any time soon.

Thank you for the advice. I paid through paypal. Long story short, Paypal initially closed my case, even though I did not open one, as I just asked them a question. I received an email this morning saying they have just overturned the case they opened on my behalf, and are now chasing DJI for the drone that never was received. Weird but good.

Now I just need to get rid of this knackered drone and I will be free of DJI.

Then I have the choice of the Autel Evo 2 Pro or Mavic 2 Pro to choose from instead.

I'm glad things are beginning to work in your favor.

FWIW, I have grown to dislike PayPal, particularly since the pandemic. It used to be you could discuss a dispute with a customer service rep. Now it's all online. The first dispute I had was with a Chinese company that said they had a product in stock, then the next day after purchasing I was notified it would be MONTHS later before shipping. I immediately canceled the order but got no reply from the company. Three requests later still no answer I opened a PayPal dispute. incredulously, PalPal denied my dispute, in which I went to my bank and THEY credited the money back. Interestingly, 3 months after the order cancelation, the product came. That was the first issue with Paypal. The Banggood tale was the second... and final. No more Chinese vendors for anything more than $10 purchases and PayPal only as my only option.

What a nightmare.

Had DJI contact me yesterday to ask me to close my paypal dispute so they can deal with the refund in their own time.
Ha. No way am I ever doing that.
I didn't order the second M2P, I certainly did not use it, open it or fly it. I refused it as per their instruction. If it goes missing in transit, that's not my fault.
Box was open when it arrived, how is that, my responsibility?
Basically told them to contact PayPal to tell them what they did and that they told me to refuse the parcel and that it was never received.

Meanwhile, the other DOA drone they sent is waiting for a UPS collection. Once it gets sent I will file another paypal dispute sayings its faulty. Hopefully I will get a refund and never have to deal with DJI ever again.

How did you fund PayPal??? I've been a Chase customer for awhile now and only this year have I had to appeal to them for refunds. I have PayPal set up to pay via my Chase credit cards. Chase came through for me twice now without any hassle. I'm not sure if they were able to claw back the money from PayPal and the vendors, but that's not my problem. And unlike PayPal they don't have a vested interested in the vendor, so are you your side as long as you are honest with your dispute and provide proof of the issue.
