Got the pontoons and parachute for some over water action!

Is the parachute FAA approved?
Not that I want a parachute but it’s the only way to get An over people waiver.

I'm always amused to see this sort of thing.
Do you strap a cushion under the drone to fly over hard ground?
If the drone goes down over any surface, it's toast.
But it doesn't fall when flying over dry land, so why the great fear that it's going to fail over water?

Would a couch cushion work, or can you use “MyPillow”?

I can't believe you actually did that!!! I mean, I might have taken off, but there's no, I mean NO I mean NO I mean NO chance that I would've attempted a landing. (Ok that was un-necessary but you get the point.) Congrats

Looks like it works, at least on flat calm water. Too bad the manufacturer did not shave the front of the floats to make them more aerodynamic.

I'd have to email the manufacturer to see it it's FAA approved. It's made in China, so probably not.

Yes. I haven't really played with it that much, but it is fixed North.

It's a good idea to ask an unrelated question in a new thread
But if you make the map full-screen, the icon in lower right will toggle between North up and Track up.
