Good day to you! I’m sure you’re aware that macOS is the only system that can run Final Cut Pro X. Many people rave about it. Adobe’s Premiere Pro also runs on Mac. I’m partial to DaVinci Resolve which runs great on my iMac. If you’re just getting started, you may want to play with iMovie. You’ve got lots of options, so it comes down to what seems most intuitive to you and best fits the way you work. Good luck!

iMovie is a good place to begin if you have not edited video. Lots of YouTube tutorials for this piece of software. Depending on your video production needs it could be all you need? How it functions & terminology care over to Final Cut Pro X.
