Reducing Video Blur In Lateral Drone/Camera Movement

Does the same effect happen at lower resolutions?

I got some time to play with rendering this file at different lower resolutions and they all exhibit the same issue. So that would seem to indicate that this happened at the point of capture.

Did some playing today.

Here are some test clips:

1.) #1) 2.7K, shot @ 60fps, 1/120 sec shutter speed, Cinematic Mode

#2) Further away. 2.7K, shot @ 60fps, 1/120 sec shutter speed, Cinematic Mode.

#3) 4K, @ 30fps, 1/60 sec shutter speed, Cinematic Mode.

#4 From further away. Also 4K, @ 30fps, 1/60 sec shutter speed, Cinematic Mode

Definitely better at 2.7K and 1/120 sec vs the 1/60 but still not as good as I would like it to be.

Are you shooting in HQ mode or FOV mode?
FOV mode (28mm equivalent) will be much more forgiving, because of the lack of effective 1.43x zoom in the HQ crop (40mm equivalent), which exaggerates movement, just like the 2x optical zoom on the M2Z. The HQ crop on the M2P is the equivalent of a 1.66x zoom on the M2Z, which has a 24mm wide angle, instead of the 28mm equivalent of the M2P, where the M2Z zooms to a 48mm equivalent at 2x. More zoom, more issues.

What timeline are these on 30fps or 60fps.

I couldn't get any of your links to open.

Well if I'm understanding what I'm looking at, the 2.7K option does not have an FOV option.

For the 4K it was the FOV option @ 30 fps.

I think you are correct about that. FOV in 4K 30fps is the best setting for 4K, and 60fps is the best setting for 2.7K to minimize the issues.

The links are still not working

That is so weird, I just copy/pasted the URLs from Vimeo and tested all the links after making the post. Then I tried them all again last night from the above post and they were working for me. But they are not working this morning on my iPhone. Anyway, when get home later today I will see if I can fix them. Sorry everyone.

Yes, working. Thanks for posting them.
The 2.7k 60fps are considerably better.
Smoother and each frame is clearer.
Switching to Tripod mode and flying slower would improve it even further.
Keeping it as a 60fps timeline is also the best.
Changing it to 30fps timeline will make it look jerky. (could do some 'tricks' to improve but not as good)

Yeah, still not the improvement that I was hoping for.

Anyway, yes it was shot on Tripod mode, although on the SC it calls it the Cinematic Mode and I was flying in that mode for each of these four clips.

Each of the four clips are RAW footage and are in their native FPS mode. They have only been trimmed with no other adjustments.

I have the SC.
For Tripod mode, you move the flight switch from 'P' to 'T' (to the left setting)
Cinematic mode is a sub-menu of the 'P' mode.
And in tripod, you can click on the little tripod icon that appears on the bottom right to adjust its settings.
I adjust mine to veeeery sloooooow. (10,10,10)

Oh, I stand corrected, thank you very much!
