I haven't been able to go out and fly my drone for a while, but I decided to plug in and charge all of my equipment. I noticed that my remote controller was at 2% battery. After plugging it in, it went up to 6%, and gradually ticked back down to 2%, where it is now. Will there be any lasting damage to the battery?

if its only showing 2% then it could be toast how long since you last used it and how are you getting the percentage reading

It just ticked up to 3%, so I have a little hope that it might be ok.

Edit: its currently charging, and its up to 70% or so, it seems to be normal. I think I'm ok.
