Remote firmware update

Hi

i have just updated the firmware on my batteries, I had to do it using DJI Assistant 2 . The batteries/aircraft went fine but I haven’t been able to update the remote. I have connected it to my Mac using the usb cable and it says connecting and goes no further. Im assuming that the problem is probably me so what am I doing wrong

Aircraft? And updates presently on, Have you verified that the Controller "needs" a update by going to DJI site?

Ihave the SC and if an update is available it tells me to update. pretty seamless
