REMOTE ID QUESTION

Does the FAA look through a drone operators record of flights after taking the exam to check for non-compliance to FAA Part 107 rules?
Just to check your record keeping, NO! If you have an issue that brings their attention to you such as an accident, a violation, or reports of a nature that indicates you are an unsafe or dangerous pilot, etc... Then they might check your records to see what they contain or do not contain... Just for an example, if your drone crashes and it is a reportable accident, they will probably check your safety/maintenance records, etc...

Just to be sure you understand, Remote ID in its present form does not keep a record of your flights like was originally proposed. It only broadcasts in real time. I believe some apps for receiving RID signals can save individual flights, but do not save all flights they detect.

Products like AeroScope can detect and record flights without RID being broadcast, but are not sold to just anyone here in the US.
