Replacement propellers

Use DJI oem props, $9 is nothing. $5 ebay ones are only good for display or awkward paper weights, they are known to fail pretty catastrophically. the drone carnt run on anything less than 4 props. carnt stress enough,

So basicly go through DJI for props?

It's possible to replace a single blade on a prop. I had several where one blade had gotten chipped or cracked but the other blade was fine. I used a small pin punch to drive out the pivot pins, paired two good blades on one hub and reinserted the pins. If you do this, make sure the blades pivot smoothly after reassembly, check balance, and make sure not to mix CW and CCW blades.
How hard is it to push out the metal connector, from the top or from the bottom?
Thanks

I can slide in a piece of paper through the crack
I have 2 blades with crack like this
Both on the no-white-circle sets (CW or CCW? )
I dont mind using the spare
But if i can salvage those 2, why not

They are small pins. They push out from the bottom or lock side of the hub. You will need a small pin punch or similar tool. They aren't very hard to remove, but be careful, the hub is polymer and could break if you hit it instead of the pin.

Thank you sir
It's a nothing to lose situation for me
Still, wish me luck

I found mine to be very hard to push
Let me clarify it
Push fron the bottom (the area with 3 legs)
So that the pin will pop from the top (the are without the 3 legs)

I keep asking myself...why? The freaking props are only $9. The drone was $1,000 am I missing something here? I would surely hate to have a mid-air malfunction because of a MacGyvered $9 part.

I'm going to throw the props away anyway
Might as well play around with it a little, curiosity kills the cat, dont they?
And if by chance i managed to pull it off
And if it had mid-air malfunction due to this 1 part
Let's just spend another thousand
At least i'll have 2 controllers ;)

Can't argue with that logic...

Put your pin punch in a small drill press and use the drill press as the press device. Advantage there is that it will be at a 90 degree angle from the blade which is what you need to push out the pin.
