Thanks Dirkclod, I'm at the very beginning of my learning curve - never edited a video footage before and only have very basic quadcopter skills so I try to enjoy and improve myself as much as possible. :)

Hi fellow Mavicers,

Just got my MP and I'm really excited about it!
Batteries are full but the manual is still has a lot's of unread page. :)
I'm sure the experience gathered here will help me a lot soon - and I hope I'll have the chance to contribute in it too!

Peter
Howdy from Wyoming @Szepy_lc8 , welcome to the community, plenty of fine folk and excellent information here.

Welcome! I haven't received my M2P yet, but my wife is from The Czech Republic and we would love to see your footage!

How restrictive are the laws on drones over there?

I know Hungary and The Czech Republic do not like the EU telling them what to do. :)

I'm really not too deep in the current Czech politics and I'd not start any debate about the current Hungarian either. :)
Drone laws are still country-based laws under 150kg drone weight.
To be honest if I'd like to follow the rules I'd not be able to takeoff.
1. You need to apply for a temporary airspace permit at least 30days before the flight - but the authorities have a maximum of 60 days to answer so it's even better to ask for it at least 60days ahead. Every flight permit costs about 15$ + 80$ if you want to fly in some nature reserve - if they even let you fly there as most of them are prohibited areas.
2. If your request is accepted you have to report in to all the airports/helipads/hospitals/etc. in the neighborhood of the flight.
3. After you've landed same as the previous.

In reality I've heard about professionals who have applied for 5-7 permits in February, paid for it and still didn't receive any answers. So in reality I try to keep low profile, stay in uncontrolled airspace well below 120m and far away from the most visited areas... That's what we currently got. :(

Wow! Sorry to hear that. As we say in the US Marines, "It's better to ask forgiveness than permission." ;)

We hope to visit Hungary one day since her dad's father was from there. :)

Take care and fly safe!
