Prior estimated pricing on Mavic 4 Pro was based on the existing 20% tariff. With tariffs on China now 104% (34% plus 50%) we will surely see a significant price bump. Worst time to introduce a new product in the USA. :(.
{Edit} - White House just announce retaliatory tariff on China of 125%.

Hopefully DJI takes the time (6 months) to make sure the bugs are fixed, the features are solid, and maybe even add something new. And also maybe figure out how to get DJI drones into the US safely.

I have a Romainian made Crystal Ball that suppose to be very accurate in predicting the future, so far it sucks,
anybody else have one ?

I guess unless you're one of the Idle Rich, or selling a kidney on the transplant black market, DJI drones just got prohibitively expensive in the US.

I'm closer to the Black Market Side of things ;)
The DJI drones may get prohibitively expensive, but we're not there yet, just going to sit and watch the fireworks play out.

Yes and now a big incentive to fly over there, buy one and sneak it back in..
Hmmm...
If I legitimately spend several weeks in the UK, and choose to buy one the, would I be okay to bring it home (to US)?
And how much would the VAT be on it?

All prices you see in the UK are inclusive of VAT, so the 20% is included in the published price. Prior to 2021, if you were a returning USA resident you could claim back the 20% from the UK government, but that has ended. Let's say you purchase a DJI drone in the UK and of course pay the 20% VAT. When you bring it over here to the USA, how will customs treat the import assuming it is above the threshold for dutiable goods? Tariff at the UK rate (for arguments sake let's say it's 10%) or the new (today?) China rate (125%) where it was manufactured? If it's the 10%, then you can be sure this loophole would be plugged. Any importers care to comment?

My old Mavic 3 Pro may be too valuable for me to fly now.
In this current situation with investment values heading straight down the crapper... it's nice to think the value of bits of grey Chinese plastic will go up. I think I'll hold on to my oldies just in case the lunacy you're facing gets exported and infects the UK.

Not only drones, for the latter 25+ years everything that's manufactured depends on the globalization, there's nothing 100% made on any country. From raw materials and tools, to chips, electronics and parts.

US has basically committed self commercial suicidal, be prepared to pay a ton for everything, from food to electronics, like consoles, PC parts, cameras, phones, drones, etc.

I have a few USD on an account that have already lost 200 € value on the last month, but I'll keep them just in case they start dropping bombs again, maybe I can buy a horse and a few chicken after WWIII with 1 USD 😆

Maybe its time i should get rid of one of my O.G. Mavics.

Mavic Pro...."Well used"....4 batteries (you may get a few cycles out of them) No props! No extras! Free lens wipes (6).
HURRY Won't last long at the bargain basement price of 2 Thousand.
Just kidding.........For now.;)

Don’t need one……I agree

Let me preface what I’m going to say with, I am not an economist. But do you think it’s fair that China charges so much in tariffs and I guess we have not been? If you think it should be more balanced, then why aren’t we mad at previous administration(s) for not fixing it?

Re anger at previous administrations…….Because it worked. Because it did not lead to economic chaos, because it didn’t trigger massive retaliatory tariffs, because it did not massively devalue retirement accounts overnight.

I could go on, but I’m not an economist either.
