I'm a photographer and have been testing the cameras on my Mavic 4 while using Active Track. Testing the limits is always a good learning experience. Here all these 3 pics(shot RAW) were photographed at 1/8th sec using a ND64. Once the drone is in position and tracking the subject accurately my keeper rates were surprisingly good for a very slow shutter speed. I've owned many drones and this one has the best cameras I've used on a prosumer drone. Pretty impressed so far!

Awesome photos!

Very nicely done. I'm astonished that a two-pound flying camera could be stable enough to capture something so sharp at 1/8 second.

What speed were you running? Were you shooting in burst mode? Any tips for those of us who might like to try something similar?

The boat was going 40km/hr, so a good speed. Tips? On Active Track, make sure the drone is steadily following the subject (ie, not getting into position) before taking a picture, single shot, shoot raw, and that's about it. I shoot wildlife for a living and i'm quite familiar with settings ect so I always shoot in Pro mode. Also, let the cameras read the white balance, then set it to manual at that temperature. Prevents the white balance from jumping around. I'm really blown away with what this drone can do if I'm honest. Calm water is best for the smooth affect but can work on rough water as well.

Your photos are amazing and attests to the quality of the drone, also, to the operator and the talent of capturing the shot and producing some great images !

These are great, the motion blur is spot on! I have tried it with not so great results, but I was flying manually. Will have to try it will active track, thanks for the idea! I have a Mavic 3 so it may not track as well, but it's worth the try.

Might there not be an advantage to using burst mode to shoot several shots to improve the odds of getting a good, sharp one?
