Smooth landing on roof, but now it's at an angle

I don't know but perhaps it "shades" the sensor so that it needs to be closer to see the ground?.

One of the SUPER POWERS of the Rescue Jacket is incredible abllity to Hover inches from the ground without triggering the landing , thus you can just land on any surface an keep the motors running or turn them off.

You can also trigger a Landing and than stop it as well an keep the motors running .

If you know your going to be landing on the Roof Top just put in the Risers before the flight or you can use the Compression band to lock the Tail down in a pinch. It would take something really steep to stop the rescue Jacket

In Order to Negotiate the Wave Angles the drones were tested and the Rescue Jackets modified for that drone
Please Notice how slight the adjustment was needed to get the drone restarted thus the Rescue Jacket provided all that has ever been needed for most inclines.

That same "super power" can be achieved with a piece of electrical tape over the downward sensors.

"I constantly recommend that you cover the sensors." "They're a hindrance. They're taking away from what the drone is capable of doing." "You don't need that."

I don't agree that the downward facing sensors on the Mini or other DJI drones degrade the general performance or utility of the drones. They serve important functions.

If blocking the sensors allows a restart at extreme angles, it would also allow the motors to continue running after the drone exceeds the critical angle. So, no shutdown after the drone strikes a tree and tumbles and no shutdown after a hand landing when the pilot inverts the drone.

I do agree that if you know in advance the approximate angle of a sloped surface where you plan to land, it's possible to compensate by raising one side of the drone with something attached to the landing points. But, you must land with the drone pointing the right way. If you do, the drone will start normally without any need to block the sensor. In any case, there's no inflight adaptability to different angles or different orientation over a sloped surface.

You got confused , the sensor blocking has nothing to do with the restart of a drone at a steep angle,

I agree that it does not, but it seems to be your message that covering the sensors is good and the reasons are related to tilt. I don't agree that disabling the downward sensors is a good idea. My concern is with new and inexperienced pilots reading this thread and being convinced to disable the downward sensors and then encountering problems as a result.

4:45 "With the sensors covered you have a much more powerful drone." "Without the sensors covered, you're going to get a lot of different errors that are simply not going to go away. And this is why I constantly recommend that you cover the sensors."
5:48 "We've tested every angle and with the sensors covered, it's a much more powerful drone.
6:05 Drone is inverted and will not start. Drone is turned upright and starts. "You cannot do this if you don't have the sensors covered."
9:06 "When you have the sensors covered on the bottom, because that's going to empower your drone. Without that, your drone is susceptible to all kinds of different errors that you really don't need to negotiate when you could just cover up the sensors..."
