When my Mav 2 Pro is sitting on my breakfast bar, the smart controller indicates the altitude is 11 ft, but the bar is actually more like 4 ft. Is this a problem, and is this something I can fix?

The altitude data on your screen comes from a barometric sensor in the drone that measures air pressure.
It's common and normal for the indicated height to vary by 10 ft or more over the duration of a flight.
It's no cause for concern and isn't a problem.
