Terlingua Ranch Airport (West Texas)

This public airport is a gravel back country strip in the heart of West Texas, near Big Bend National Park. It is surrounded by mountains and has a pretty steep grade for landing (up) and departing (down). Right next to the air strip is the Johnson Ranch which includes camping, cabins, and a quaint restaurant.

My wife and I love visiting Terlingua. Stay there whenever we visitBig Bend NP. For those that have never been, go there and meet the folks. Bring your sense of humor.
