Today I finally got to test some aerial boosters I had purchased for my MM1.
The tests were done over open farmland using 5.8G.
Test one, nothing but the basic mm1. Flew 2.8km in straight line to 65% battery.
No problems except on the return journey the video downlink kept dropping out.
Test two, using Tozo Signal Booster. Flew 3.2km straight line to 65% battery.
No problems, perfect video downlink. Parabolic Reflector.
Test three, using Tomat Yagi Signal Booster. Flew 2.2km but not in staight line to 65% battery.
No problems, perfect video downlink. Yagi with 5 directors and reflector.
Test four using both boosters flew 2.6km to 65% battery. Perfect video downlink, no problems.
The furtherest distance I have been able to fly is 3.7km. The batteries are what stops me flying further.
With the boosters I always have consistant video downlink.
Hope the information helps somebody decide. Purchased both from Amazon.
