But that will not work unless you are smuggling it in and don't care about warranty.
So, if I go to Canada to purchase the Mavic 4, the warranty or DJI Care won't be accepted in the USA? I guess because DJI couldn't replace or fix it in the USA. So, in this case, I keep my Mavic 3 P.

I think DJI have also dropped the Apple ProRes on the Mavic 4 Pro, if that’s also a deal breaker. Apparently it is for some.
The Mavic 4 Pro 512GB (Creator Combo) supports H.264 ALL-I recording as a replacement for Apple ProRes
If you travel into Canada from USA, purchase one, wouldn't you have to declare it at the border coming back in to the USA. Will there be a tax charge? They are allowed in the USA, it's just DJI is not selling any in the USA at this time.

If you buy the Mavic 4 anywhere outside of the US, and provide a US address when you register it, DJI will not honor the warranty or allow you purchase DJI Care.
we already have to wait till June until the one with the fancy remote comes out anyways and the ND filters.. I am going to be sad about it if they still aren't selling in USA by then. I am betting they probably will by then.
A few years ago (true, it was a while ago) I went to Victoria BC for the weekend.
Crossing into Canada, my vehicle was searched, including them looking in my backpack.
Coming back into the States they looked at my license and passport and said thanks and that was it.
Coming into Miami, from the Caribbean, last November, there was ZERO customs. Just walked off the boat and into the luggage pickup area.
Are you supposed to declare purchases? Well, yeah. But where?
And, just how long should a person own something before it's not subject to tariffs? I know a friend of mine lived in Europe for a few years. When she came back to the states they didn't seem to care what she brought with her. Everything she was traveling with was bought in Europe.
If you go to Mexico or Canada and buy a hat and a shirt, do you have to declare it? Where's the line?

Sure, log into DJI chat and ask them. That is what I did after reading the fact that there is no warranty available in the US from several sources yesterday.
DJI chat person said they have no US release date and and no US warranty or extended care would be offered on purchases outside of the Us if registered to a US address.
I had a buyer all lined up for my Mavic 3 until I verified this with DJI. I cancelled the sale after.

Even if DJI said they would honor the warranty, how would they send you a replacement? Customs will block it, DHL won't ship it. DJI has no way to fullfil warranties in the US. It's only right they don't offer something they can't provide. Hopefully this will be over sooner rather than later.
According to Dpreview, Adorama, B&H, and the NYC DJI store actually had Mavic 4 units to sell today. Limited in number and only available in the brick and mortar locations.
