The new air 2s 2110 update

Sometimes you can, sometimes not. On each update DJI has the ability to either block downgrades or not.

That's kind of worrisome, next year when the DJI decides to limit the distance to 300 feet, because the FAA will make them do it, then we're stuck at a max flight distance from the controller of a whopping 300', which the FAA would consider the max VLOS distance. You know it's coming, this is the FAA with their infinite wisdom.

If that happens just don't update in the first place.
Yeah, even if I don't do anymore updates, DJI could easily make it such that if I don't have the latest updates, I can't start the drone. They already do this in some geo fenced areas.

That would be a nightmare for them to roll out as DJI sells to the world> Believe it or not the USA is not the only country on the planet.

Absolutely NOT TRUE for 300 ft.

Never had an issue in geofence zones and flying. You're making statements that have no truth or merit and new as well.

Geofence is a PITA, nobody denies that. Yet, if YOU the pilot are logged into your DJI account, getting around geofence and other zones happens pretty flawlessly. A message pops up telling you of the issue and you simply click agree to terms and you're off and flying. Many new DJI pilots do no seem to understand the logged into your DJI account IS REQUIRED to clear such things and fly beyond the imposed threshold if your not logged in and cannot agree to the messages.

Please post said statements by the FAA that will go to 300 ft for VLOS. Think guys who work regularly with the FAA here on the forum will tell you that such things are poppycock.

This statement appears the OP is a troll. Total poppycock.

Not trolling, it's my opinion, just saying that if the our FAA is concerned about pilots maintaining VLOS, and that concern is clearly evident when they see pilots on youtube doing range test out for miles, then if they wanted to, they could limit the horizontal range to mere feet, in the same way they limit you to 400' vertically. Today, no, maybe they don't have plans to limit range, but tomorrow, if they see flagrant VLOS violations by pilots on youtube, then who knows what they might do. Yout don't know, and I don't know. I'm just saying it could happen. T

And it's so remote and hypothetical it makes no sense to even talk about. The world might end tomorrow too... And that a manufacturer would have to comply to regulations it has to is kind of obvious.

i instaled the new firmware when i bought the 2s a few days ago and it works fine.

What kind of release notes is that? “Fixed some bugs” 😂
