Thinking about a skin (wrap)

I wrapped my MM with bright orange from decalgirl.com. I haven't flown with the wrap yet. The wrap was pretty easy to install. I'm hoping for a bit better vlos with the bright orange.

So I'm guessing we have the same color "Neon Fluorescent orange" , my pic looks a little different from your pic but that might be the camera... anyway... I got mine wrapped today and then went out and flew it... HOLY CAMOLY what a difference!! OH YEAH you will get a better VLOS with it. I took it up to about 130 ft high (to miss the local trees) and then out and away, I could still see the orange at 795 ft distance!! Oh boy what a difference! You will like it!

So what happened to the first one? An d I didn’t know they had prop guards for them.

It was a short story. RTH. Lost i7 line of sight (iPhone monitor went dead). I always use down camera on descent to gage exactness of landing, but this time I was blind. Descent interrupted by unobserved tree branches. Damaged gimbal and rear pylon dislocated upon ground impact. Had it replaced through Care Refresh inside 10 days.

I have in fact installed the same Skin, again from iStyles.com. Obtained a different design landing gear (under belly skids), Prop Guards are available from DJI Store; but, they wont fit over a Skin.

I have both of my M1P's wrapped and it does make a difference on VLOS. I got mine on Amazon and they are 3M

Which color is easier to see at a distance? I’m going to guess the neon orange. Am I right?

The neon orange is best overall, however if it is cloudy the green stands out as well. Either way for VLOS for me the max is about 1200-1500 feet away

Thanks. I sold my MM and am going to get an A2. The first thing I will do is add a skin and I think it’ll be neon orange.

I don't really think any skin makes a MAVID MINI better for VLOS over a reasonable distance.

How long did it take to apply? Was it hard?
