What kind of case or bag do you use? Mine is a bit tight, looking for ideas.

I like the OneMo from PGYTech.... use it all or just take the smaller internal bag for drone and 5 batteries... caries all my drone gear.

I got mine in to a small lunch box!
compact and hard plastic, with good lid - cost about £5
See my post from 20 Feb 2021:

Mini 2 - mini travelling box (fits in a small lunch box!)

And I don't even need to take off the joysticks!

When I'm after an overall compact package I use this one from PGYTECH. Otherwise I use the DJI bag that came with the drone. The PGYTECH holds the drone, controller and two additional batteries, spare props, sun shade for phone on controller, cables with a bit of flat space to spare. Note that PGYTECH's description is written for the Mini rather than the Mini 2. Thus the smaller controller of the Mini left more room for additional batteries, etc.

I just got a pelican case for mine yesterday. Already having pick and play foam regret. One of these days I will start laying things out BEFORE I start picking the foam. ??‍♂️

In case anyone cares, I got the 1500. It could have a little more space but it’s adequate. Tried to get it as small as I could and still carry all my goodies so it’s completely self contained.

You guys have amazing space compared to mine [emoji28][emoji2957]

- Goggles can't fit any way possible so i have to carry them in separate bag, RS2 is also a pain on the side.

That's my "go to" kit [emoji86][emoji85]

Shane... there’s (deleted by moderator) of magic packed in that bag. ::jelly::

@jw83876 lol, i like to call it "bag of joy & happines" while whenever my wife sees it wants to divorce me [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]

P.s. its very good bag fits A TON of stuff and it's extremely durable, there's no terrain on which I haven't thrown it, it's almost as good as new even after a 1.5 years of almost daily use and countless zipping and unzipping.

The bag is BTW Lowepro ProTactic Aw 450II

I don’t understand, you have everything you need. If you want a larger case, get one. Most people with a mini want to travel small.

RLSOCO Hard Case bought from Amazon. It's a little larger than I expected but has masses of room for extras and gives really good protection.

We use an Orca backpack. It holds our Mavic 2 Pro safely with good elastic straps inside. Holds five batteries, chargers, all cables, spare props, standard controller and iPad holder, our iPad and sunshade. The sides are rigid and padded as is the back which provides excellent protection. Shoulder and waist straps are very comfortable. We are very happy with.

However, I am also considering purchasing the Nanuk 925 waterproof case or the Lykus Titan M120. Both are hard shell cases that would offer us the ultimate in protection and will hold the DJI Smart controller as well as the standard one. I'd use the hard case for shooting around town and the backpack for travel.

None of you need a fancy foam formed drone carrying case unless your going to put it in the baggage compartment of an airplane during travel. For daily use, i bought a $30 rectangular, medium sized SOFT cooler container that is used for camping. It has a bottom large container for drinks (the size of a six pack), but I took the plastic drink holder out and now it is a soft cushion compartment for the drone. The batteries fit behind it, away from the camera. The top has an expandable soft compartment that fits the drone controller perfectly. There are side compartments for all of the drone's accessories. It's lighter and easier to carry. It's completely water resistant. See Photos. The 1st pick is the top compartment with a modded alientech controller, the second is the drone in the bottom compartment with one battery behind it. It can hold more batteries. Anyway, that's my 2 cents.

I use cheapo($20US) from Amazon, so far I really like it. Holds everything I have for the M2.

Alas, i can not use a form fitting type carrier. I have modded my controller and extended the legs on my drone, thus keeping it from folding fully, making it bulkier. My solution was the camping gear case. It gave me more leeway, with all my modifications and such.

For us, a drone is simply a work tool. For our P4P+, we have a dedicated backpack. For the Mini 2, we use the DJI bag that's part of the Combo. You can fit everything in, plus a Moment folding landing pad and a ND/PL filter set. Why use anything else? Most of our assignments are overseas, working in remote areas, so we have to be ultra careful with all of our equipment. The DJI bag is usually carried in a backpack when out on foot walking for long distances. If it's good enough for our professional use, why bother with some fancy alternative?
