am seriously considering to get the neo 2 as i have a few requirements to shoot indoors and while i ahev the air 3s the neo 2 seems more suitable for such due to safety requirements, and of course i will fly it occasionally outdoors, my question here which pack do i get ?

i will use it strictly with my rc2 controller (the one of the air 3s) and am wondering if i should get the combo pack or the combo pack with the additional useless controller for me, the second one however comes with this external digital antennas, so am wondering this external antenna will it make any difference when used with rc2 controller or not ?

thanks,

The external antennas are for video transmission when using goggles.

No, the digital image transmission module is needed for flying the Neo 2 with a controller, too.

"When operating with the remote controller or FPV Goggles, the Neo 2 Digital Image Transmission Module must be installed to achieve stable, low-latency image transmission."

EDIT: The module is required for Ocusync 4 communication. Without it, the Neo 2 relies on wifi, substantially limiting the range as well as transmission quality.

The simpler Neo 2 packages don't include it, but they're readily available separately. If you don't need the controller, it might be best to go with the drone and whatever batteries you need and add the module.

I just flew the Neo 2 for the first time a few minutes ago, and I'm very impressed with it. I'm thinking that it's going to become my go-to travel drone.

Thank you for the correction, much appreciated.
I picked up a Neo 2 motion fly more combo for my wife. It really is a fun little drone. You get a lot for your money.

I agree. The flight time is the most significant limitation, but it's definitely the most bang for the buck of all the drones I've seen. The camera is amazing.

Combo pack with the rc-n3.

As usual if you get the drone alone plus the transmitter module, charging hub and 2 batteries it's like only $30 less than having the controller included, so might as well take it, can be worth something when reselling.

From my experience the photos from the neo2 are "fine", but not great. Processing is sometimes completely bonkers and since you can't shoot RAW there's no way around it.

They certainly don't compete with the output from other DJI drones that cost two to six times as much, but they're amazing for a 160-gram drone. The Neo 2 is a great "snapshot" camera, akin to a flying cellphone in that regard.

The great majority of drone photos are shared for viewing on phones or computers with no editing other than perhaps cropping. The Neo 2 shines there.

Not bad for a segment o an image that was enlarged by about 500%.
Wasn't enlarged 500%, it's the original size, just cropped.

It is noisy, but that can be fixed. This is what your example looks like after a quick run through Topaz Photo:
Looks like paint now :D But yeah, better. Still annoying since it could be avoided in the first place of having to try and fix it.
