and for some reason it doesn't display....

I have noticed this before with other of my posts - I think it was visible, then I edited the grammar and changed the order and got the message :-

Awaiting approval before being displayed publicly.

What am I doing WRONG???

The most likely explanation is that you've used a particular word or phrase that's triggered the spam filter and sent the message to get approved/deleted by a moderator.
That you could post this, indicates that it's about that post rather than you.
