After the recoil of finding out the Mini 5 has RID on always. (Not rec flyer friendly)With no way of turning it off even if we mod it to be under 250g, will they put an always on RID broadcast on the neo 2?

Not unless the weight comes close to 250g which was the deciding factor on the Mini 5 Pro. Unlike the Mini 4 Pro with the standard battery, DJI could not guarantee that the Mini 5 Pro with the regular battery would not exceed 250g, and, in fact, it does, in almost all cases. Weight of DJI Neo 1 is 135g, so plenty of room to tweak it on a new Neo 2 before it would come even close to 250g.

I am sure there are those in say real estate that hope it does have some sort of RID.

If it's being used for Part 107 flying, like for real estate work, then they would need to have it.

I hate to say it but I would guess the vast majority of real estate work done with a sub-250 drone is done without RID. Especially if 75% of your work is done indoors or closely in and around the property. If you don't care about having part 107 then you certainly wouldn't care about having RID.

Very True. I stopped a real estate women who was about to take some photos with her Drone, as she was setting up.
I reminded her that she was way to close to an airport to take-off (about a mile away in this case). and when I inquired about a part 107 cert, she looked at me as if I were speaking french!

No one actually has the numbers. If any commercial drone pilots on here work in real estate, they could provide some educated guesses on how many real estate agencies in their market handle their own drones.
