I had my first near disaster by flying farther than I'd tried before and not realizing it was much windier up there than I anticipated. I lost connection intermittently, then got disoriented when I tried to manually fly it home, instead sending it further away. In a panic, I finally tried the...

I found the solution; using the controller (not the app on the ipad, but while connected to the ipad) I switched from P mode to sport mode, then back. The active track icon miraculously appeared. Very weird, but problem solved.

Not in sport mode (I'm not that confident yet), and its outdoors. A real mystery. Its a shame not to be able to use that incredible technology.

I was thinking of trying to use my iPad Pro as well; stupid question, but do you still use the RC, or can you control the drone using just the iPad? I connect with my iPhone and RC now, but I’d need a different connector for the iPad Pro to the RC.

I have the same problem, it seems to not recognize that I've plugged in the drone, even though I know the connection is made because my computer recognizes videos on the Drone. Have you come up with a solution yet?
