Just found this one too. A little confusing what to select under UAV weight. Do these qualify as recreational drones? I assume so since I'm not flying them for business. Which is good, because the circles are smaller on the map for this class.

Definitely, but not as portable. I can carry the Spark on me everyday for spur of the moment drone shots. Mavic requires an additional dedicated bag.

Spark is a cool party trick, Mavic is for serious flying.

Those aren't the laws yet, just guidelines. I sure hope they didn't restrict flight based on unpassed laws - that would make make places in Canada un-flyable. Hopefully they just stay focused on America and not other countries where they may not understand the laws as well.

I turned off updates for DJI app, got notification that the new update is here. Among the changes, is the addition of Spark. Which means I'll have no choice but to upgrade :/ Clever.

There are a number of websites that upload previous versions of Android apps (like APKmirror.com), I wouldn't be surprised if the same exists for iOS - are you guys even able to install apps from sources other than the App store though?
