Anyone not having Mavic Pro issues?

I agree entirely that that Mavic Pro is an excellent drone. I've owned two of them (I've also had a Mavic 2 Zoom), and I don't think you can do better for the money. There are a lot of used Mavic Pro's for sale on eBay for right around $600. I have no "issues" whatsoever with the MP.

I am a new Mavic 2 Pro owner and new to MavicPilots. I want to use a tablet, but not sure which is best.

I've used the Apple iPad Mini 4 for over a year and prefer it to the Android tablet I used to use. I also wear an umbrella hat to create my own shadow for a brighter image on the Mini 4: Umbrella Hat - Hat with Umbrella

    Anyone flew above cloud yet?

Trust me on this: Eventually it WILL descend.

    Anyone flew above cloud yet?

I had line of sight the whole time - thanks to a very bright strobe light attached to the bottom of my Mavic Pro.

    Anyone flew above cloud yet?

"Just fly above the fog" reminded me of a vid I made last February: (not with a Mini, though.)

    Beware of eBay scammers

This same exact thing happened to me. My eBay order was intercepted by a Russian individual whose address was a warehouse in Wilmington, Delaware. I'd been tracking the UPS shipment (from Detroit to my home in southern Ohio) - and when it began moving east through Pennsylvania, I knew...

    WD 40 (Water Displacement 40)

I don't plan to do this, but would WD 40 allow one to fly in rain?

    Found Lost DJI Mavic

Thanks for being so conscientious. I created a few folders on my SD card and labeled each with some part of my contact info: my name, my address, my phone number, my email address. Thus, if someone used a file explorer and merely looked at the folders on the SD, they would see my info...

    Harvesting soybeans in Iowa

I grew up in Fort Dodge - not far from this farm, I'd think. Now I live in Ohio - and just this week made a Mavic Pro video of our soybean harvest: In retrospect, I should not have flown directly over the combines.

    Incident

Thanks for sharing this fine poem, John. I used it [unarmed] in English classes many years ago to teach several poetic devices. It's right up there with Archibald Macleish's "Ars Poetica." So sorry about abuse done by nuns on children.

Rogue drone films FBI Raid on Epstein home in Virgin Islands

The Mavic Pro has a 2x optical zoom - which for my needs works fine.

    Flying over water

. . . and the more you fly (especially the Mavic Pro!) the more confidence you'll gain in the craft and its amazing technology. Suggestion: When flying over water (rivers, lakes, whatever), maintain a clear line of sight (actually, I mean line of signal) between you and the drone. Don't fly...

    Flying over water

Like many of the above entries, I almost always fly over water -- if I can find it. Over the Ohio River at Portsmouth: https://vimeo.com/307397326 Over Rocky Fork Lake, Hillsboro, Ohio:

Mavic Air Master Airscrew Stealth Props Second Generation V2

I'm still sold on my Mavic Pro's 3-blade carbon fiber props. They're quiet, seem to increase flight time (battery life), and are very stable. I ordered mine from China, so there was a bit of a wait, but they're now available from dealers inside the US, I've heard: 4PCS Low-Noise Full Carbon...

    Bye-bye tablet.

my iPad 4 mini is the only Apple product I use - but it works great as a monitor for my Mavic Pro. I wish it were a bit brighter sometimes, but otherwise, excellent.
